A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Hello, I'm Kat and thank you for stopping by. Plants, flowers and gardening are a huge part of my life - I work in the horticulture industry and spend a lot of my free time in my own garden. I wanted a space to record my observations and thoughts about all things horticultural, from growing vegetables to using herbs, to decorating your home with flowers and foliage. So I decided to set up this blog. I also hope that it inspires others to give gardening a go.

So far, I have spent my entire adult life loving plants and flowers. After completing a degree in Anthropology, I trained in floristry, then completed some training in horticulture too. Career wise, I've dipped a toe in a few areas of the industry, mainly in retail and garden media. My specific interest in plants actually stemmed from a love of succulents. Gardening is more than just growing plants. It connects you to nature in a quiet but powerful way. It has got under my skin in a way no other hobby has before. You never stop learning, and you get a chance to improve and enhance your skills every, single year.
